Anyone else wear certain shoes to drive?
I usually wear sneakers, mostly basketball style but they aren't that good for driving. I bought a pair of Adidas indoor soccer shoes and their good. Last week I picked up these babies, they are perfect for driving having a scuff protector on the back and they look good and feel good so you don't have to switch out to other shoes when you get to where your going. Heres the link..anyone else have favorite driving shoes?

I keep a pair of Nike runners under my cargo net for longer drives. They're very light and due to the material don't heat up too much. What's even worse than my having a pair of sneakers specifically for my Z, is that is that they match the color of my car. : )

All my friends think this is weird but, I have kind of big feet, size 12, and I feel like I can still get great pedal control barefoot so I generally wear sandals into the the car and stick them under the seat while driving.

The best pair of driving shoes I ever had was a pair of wrestling shoes. They are soft bottomed,so you really get the feel of the pedals, but they have good edges, so you don't slip too easily while H&T'ing....As far as I can tell, they are very similar to racing shoes, at least cosmetically. Don't know if they are the same structurally.

In the warm weather, my best pair of driving shoes is definitely my black low-top Chuck Taylors....light, thin-soled, and they give plenty of pedal feel. In the winter, I just wear whatever fits the weather...the Chucks are way too cold for that time of year.

I'm a 12-13 so i can't wear all my shoes to drive. I have a pair of addidas running shoes that are 11.5 and pretty tight, but they are good to drive in or i have some puma's that look like track shoes, extremely lightweight and small, its like not wearing any shoes, i love wearing them to drive

I wear shoes to get in the car, but I slip them off and put them in front of the seat and drive with socks on. My size 13 shoes dont help when I'm using the clutch.

I usually drive with what I happen to be wearing at the moment, but, I've noticed that my diesel sneakers seem to work the best for me.
On long road trips I perfer to go barefoot as well. It hurts for a while but the pain seems to go away. It's the best way to feel the clutch!
I'll have to check out those pumas since I've only heard good things about them.

I have a pair of Cole Haan driving shoes. They are light, flexible and have knobby soles that I pretty much wore down wearing them out of the car. I now use a pair of Minnetonka moccasins. They have glove soft leather and thin, flexible rubber soles. They are amazing. Soft, flexible with great feel of the pedals through the soles. I'd have to agree that driving with dress shoes sucks.
