Would you do it all over again???
Hey guys,
I just wanted to gauge opinions on a little something. Now that you've all owned your Z and experienced the up's and downs, would you do it all over again? Even when knowing these problems will occur? Do the benefits of the Z outweigh the problems such as tire feathering, transmission, and rattles? I know the opinions may vary from person to person but I thought it would be interesting to find out. So everyone, lets have it.

By the way, all problems have been fixed. My Z is absoultly perfect, NO problems.
Every first year car will have problems, and they get worked out.
Not even everyone with early models have had problems.

To be honest I wouldn't do it again. Not because of the car, mine's been perfect since delivery almost a year ago, but because of the dealers and after sales support. Nissan is by far the worst I've ever come across and I won't be dealing with them again.
i don't think i would do it...the Z has been good to me other than the feathering and Nissan's service has been a little dissappointing regarding that. but the main reason would be for practicality...it snows here in the winter and the Z just can't handle it also in the near future w/a family this just won't do. i should have gotten the fx45...

Although there are many days that I don't kick myself in the a$$ for not getting what I really wanted.. R34-GTR (wanted something new and not something being phased out)....
I would do it again. Luckily, I have had no problems with my Z so far.
Also, even in Japan, the servicing at Nissan compared to others is spotty -- some good and some not so good
Reason for doing it again is.. the Z is best sports car for the price with unequaled styling and plenty of available new mods...

I would do it again... but I would not do all the same engine mods.... not enough gains for the money...
I'd leave the engine stock and do swaybars, spring, shocks and race tires for track events.... and probably no NISMO lsd either

Yes... Z has been and still is my dream car since I was in grade school. I'd do it again (dump my 2000 Acura TL for a less practical 2 seater). One thing tho...I would probably wait for the "bugs" to be solved before I buy it next time. New year model always have many problems.... see my sig for what I have been thru.
2 words...HELL NO
If I could go back to the day I got this car, I would have gotten back in my car and burned rubber out of there so fast those nissan sales ****** heads would have spinned
but thats just me ....

Most days I am as happy as can be. Then I will go out and look at the M3 coupe again. Big money difference but having sold an M Roadster for the Z the differences between them may well be worth the money.
