Who are you insured with? What did they settle for with you? I'm just curious because I'm a claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance. I still have yet to handle a claim involving a Z.

Anyway, go out & get yourself an 04!!!

If it was claimed a total loss, what dollar amount did they put on the property damage as total loss. Im curious to know what your car was worth according to the insurance company.

you gotta figure at least 2k to 3k less than you paid, assuming my insurance ( who had to assume the debt he only had 25k coverage ) factors the same way that progressive does i got about 28,500 on a enthusiast level w/o tax. the cars sticker was 31,250 w/o tax and i had some aftermarket mods so it didnt cost me as much because i was reimbursed for them on top of that 28,500 but the fact that they take that much off for a one model year loss is a travesty. i would strongly recommend bringing to your adjusters attention the cost to purchase a used z in your area specifically. that was a big point the progressive adjuster took into affect. the book may say its worth x and y but the reality of you attaining that is what must be stressed. wish you the best of luck but stay on them is all i can say =] i was friends with mine by the end of it i called the guy so much and it only took 2 weeks from the time of the accident for it to go from progressive to my insurance, both claiming it being totalled.

Yeah, most insurance companies will find 3 comparable vehicles for sale in the local area & make adjustments on the value for mileage & options. Kelley Blue Book is not an acurate figure.

i have progressive and when my car was totalled on 10/4, they cut me a check for the msrp of the model i originally bought, instead of the blue book value. i think the check was for 32k.
