Additionally, tell him to get his number straight. The Mach 1 is faster than all of them. I have seen 0-60 times of 5.2 for the Mach in Car and Driver. When I got my Z it was between the Mach 1 and the Z. I wanted the Cobra, but I didn't have time to wait for one. I'm so glad that I got the Z, as it is much more refined. I'm 31 now and work in the Financial area. I can't look like some street racing punk. The Z gives you some class. Lord knows I need it!!! haha. Enjoy your car and tell that punk to go by his Neon and look like a 16yr. old punk a$$ driving it.

blah blah blah, blah blah. i started reading some of the topic post's quotes and then i realized you know what, who really gives a crap about numbers numbers numbers? What matters is what YOU, the person shopping for a car, comes away from the test drive experience with.

I drove a Z yesterday and loved it. If it had AWD and more cargo space it'd be the perfect car. As it is I am probably willing to sacrifice those desires for what the Z offers as is.

Something about the RX8 that isn't mentioned in that silly review is that it's got a godawful rotary engine and all sorts of mechanical problems have been faced by owners. First it was over-rated on horsepower, then people were having issues trying to start the car after it was already warm (like when you stop at a store and buy something and then come out to the car and try to start it, then there was fuel flooding the engine issue, and who knows what else.

While I find the RX8's interior styling appealing, I can't get over the fact that it's got a rotary, limited upgrade potential (without big hassles, compared to the Z's solid, piston-based V6), and looks extremely wimpy from some angles.

For equal money I'd get the Z every time.

And that's the opinion of a non-Nissan owner.

He has a jetta. I had the mazda6S, but good lookin out bro. The Mazda6 was a nice car but since it was a new platform it had a lot of bugs.

I can't believe I went back and forth with this guy, but one of the reasons why I created this thread to show you guys that people will hate on you and what you've accomplished no matter what you do. The best thing to do is to enjoy the company of true friends and family and enjoy your Z. I LOVE THIS CAR.

A question to everyone before I start a new thread. Any Z -> SRT-4 owners out there? Any recommendation on where to get a good deal in LA?

In all honesty I'm sick of all these this car is faster than Z etc posts. If I wanted raw speed and performance I'd get an STI or EVO or better yet a bike. There's more to buying a car than just performance and it's funny that some people just don't get it.

Just remember, people only hate on cars that they really wish they could own. Just envy on the part of your classmate/buddy. The reason he hates on each and every car you end up getting is cause he probably feels he is in competition with you and has to find a way to justify his small meaningless life by putting down others.

You know what you got and be comfortable with that. On the otherhand, he has to put other people down to make himself feel better.
