haha man.. people never stop the bashing... i guess they are just jealous. i've gotten used to it by now. Some guy at a used car dealer (friend was looking for a car) and he asked us what car we drove. and once i said the Z he started knockin on it. He said he has used cars that was faster than it and told my friend that he can walk away with a car that would smoke me. I just told him I'll get more chicks in the Z anytime and that it was ok to envy my car... he started stuttering and tryin to make a come back.. but I think I shut him up pretty good...

to differ. Neon is fast, comfortable and very envious. Faster than the Z, and besides it has a backseat and racing seats in the front. And how come the SRT is on special order at almost every Dodge dealership in MD, believe me I couldn't get one when they first came out because last Feb, dealerships where taking deposits. I can easily find a used 350z, tell me if you can find a used SRT. I don't think so. At this rate your fighting a loosing battle. Your head might not turn when were at the light but it will when your reading my bumper. C'mon Sly I know everything there is to know about cars. It may be less attractive than the Z but the sticker price looks way more attractive on the Neon. Style, Comfort, Performance, & Affordability.

The only thing i envy from the Neon is that it's fast, THAT'S IT. Backseats? Nope, don't envy those, that's why I got a Z, i don't need backseats, if I wanted them, I would have bought a G35c. Racing seats? Who cares. Back Order? Probably because the SRT-4s are being produced in a limited quantity, A LOT less than the Z. That, most likely, is the reason you might see more Z's on the street and for sale.
Someone tell this guy that the reason we buy a 350Z is not because we think it's the fastest car out there. If i wanted a fast car, for cheap, with style, then i would go and buy a used S13, swap in an SR20DET with S15 front end, get some bigger turbo's etc. and i can be pushing 350HP easily, for cheaper and the car would look 100x better than the Neon SRT-4.
What's my point? There is no point. Which is exactly my point about this argument .

 

Don’t you know EVERYONE would love to own a car with MANUAL rear windows. The SRT-4 is so hardcore don’t even have the option for power rear windows! Hell who needs HID headlights there is no need to see in the dark, there is no stability control option, no need to control the car, especially with teen driving it. The stock stereo sucks, and automatically needs to be replaced.

Oh BTW I personally drive a FOCUS, and guess what options I can get in my car that a neon can’t…

I will also give you all one guess what Car I would choose if I could have a SRT-4 on a 350Z

Oh BTW My friend in Florida just had one of his friends get rid of a SRT-4 for an SVTF because he got sick of the car, the ONLY thing it’s good for is 0-60.

And HE is now thinking about getting rid of his SRT-4 too, for the same reason. There is nothing “nice” or luxurious about it, its loud, annoying, and fast. He is either looking at an SVTF or an RSX-S now.

I hate to be stereotypical but most SRT-4 owners are tools. This guy your talking with sound like he will fit right in. I tried to find out more about the SRT-4 because my friend has one, so I TRIED to post on www.srtforums.com what a bunch or ignorant punks on there. It’s to the point that that’s also part of the reason my friend wants out of the SRT-4, The car just has the reputation of being driven by arrogant ******** now. So I have lost all interest in the SRT-4 by now. I honestly tried to learn about the car, but its just not worth the time or effort. It’s better to just point and laugh at the people driving them.

 

Not that it makes a difference, but the SRT-4 got rear power windows in 2004.

I met ONE SRT-4 owner down here in Miami, 21 year old guy, i think the only NON-ARROGANT SRT4 owner, i struck up a conversation at the stop light, told him his car was pretty fast and all (i like complimenting people). He was like, yeah, but i love you car, i wish i could afford it etc, etc.

How is everything I say turned into hate mail. I said the Neon was faster, that's it. I didn't say it looked better, had more carisma or so forth. Yes there is a 30% loss of power from engine hp to wheel hp but the car dynoed at close to 230hp. What can I say, Dodge didn't push up the numbers. Here's my hate mail for the day.
1.) The Neon SRT may have a turbo but its a 2.4 with a higher displacement than a 2.0. Why do you think the STI is a 2.5 liter engine? Because with that kind of displacement = higher boost, higher hp with mods. That's simple.
2.) I became a tuner because I hate people who think a car is fast because of the way it looks and just because its in a certain category. Why did you tune an Eclipse to outrun a Porsche? For the simple satisfaction of saying your Eclipse could beat a Porsche or because you wanted to take on the task of building a street car.
3.) Class is within a person. If you need a car to earn you class then you'll never have any (that was dedicated to your Z forum boy)
4.) I have a street tuned car. What I'm learning is that with the newer cars, its more expensive to modify them, especially the higher end sports cars. That's why I said the Evo MR is the total package for me. I need to make no mods because its tuned as if I would tune it. The Z on the other hand requires more of my attention. I need a body kit, and definetly some exhaust mods, and rims. And later I would have to modify the engine. Yes I like traditional sports cars but I'm only saying this once so you and your crew get it through your head:

You know the 4door cars that people started modifying when they couldn't afford the RX-7, 300Z, Supra's or NSX's. I love annihilating an unsuspecting sports car driver in a 4 door box. Why because people like you think there the fastest cars, garner the most attention, and think that's what an automobile is supposed to be. No factory tuned car will come close to what I plan to do with a car in the next 2 years. Except for the SRT and EVO MR.


I never said that the Z was the fastest car. I think your hating because the Z is well design sport car that you can't afford. Every time I get a car you knock it when you really don't have anything to base your arguments on. When I bought the 97 Eclipse Gst Back in 96 you had that little green Neon that I kept beating, I didn't want to race you but I know how you would exaggerate the story if I let you pass me. Everyone on my forum thinks your an idiot with some kind of complex.
