Default Problem w/ first gear...

My Z is only a week old with 230 miles and when I start accelerating on first gear, i usually rev to around 2500rpm then start letting the clutch go slowly because when i let go of the clutch a lil bit too soon, it seems like the car has some hesitation to go so I was wondering if it was me or tha car (probably me ). When I start going from a stop sign on a level road, i have to let go of the clutch then hang a tiny bit during the middle stage of the clutch to let tha gears meet before totally letting it go in order to get a "smoother" acceleration (but it still sorta lags). Can somebody give me an idea of how you accel. without lag? Sorry for this newb question but help is greatly appreciated.

When letting off the clutch, gas is already applied (equally) so as to engage the sweet spot. No lag. If you're a newbie MT driver, then you might do this while riding the clutch a little longer than usual. Over time you'll know precisely where the engagement point is and you'll catch it easily every time. Without lag.
