Default Installing Z emblems

I am sure this is covered but the search thingy has been down for some time...

I received my front and back emblems from Courtesy Nissan. It seems that they can just be glued over the area of the hamburgers. They have a self-adhesive thing or something... Can someone go through the steps to do this right and not screw it up?

I got the caps from the rims too. Same question....

Thank you so much ,

MoZi

Use a blow dryer and dental floss to remove the hamburgers. The Z emblems will simply go in their place. Use the little thingies hanging out the size of the Z emblem to line them up correctly.

Thanks,

"The Z emblems will simply go in their place."

Do I need to use a special adhesive or is the self adhesive one that comes with them enough. I would hate to be cornering hard and have the emblem fly off like a Ninja star

The adhesive that comes with the emblem works well. Just clean the surface with alcohol before applying it.

I'm picturing that in my head and it's a pretty funny thought. Anyway, like hugo1669 said, the adhesive on the back will do the job just fine.

How come it says "Professional Installation Recomended" on Courtesy's site? Are they that easy to put on?

Probably so that in case someone f*cks up the install and scratches the car (or something worse) they can just say "we told you to have a professional do it."

There are other places that sell them. Check Performance (www.performancenissanparts.com).

Too bad! Got the front emblem for Father's day. Just put it on my Silverstone '03. Not too difficult, just take your time and follow the advice in this thread.

I'm just curious, why are you swapping one hamburger for another hamburger. Big deal if it says "Z", the emblem is basically identical. If you got money burning a hole in your pocket, you can send it to me instead of bolstering Nissan's bottom line. I just don't get the fascination that many in here display in buying crap.
