if the G's are getting 300hp, I wonder what have they changed? redesign plenum? freer flow exhaust?

There's not much you can do, other than changing the cams to gain real hp. Nissan is not going to change UD Pulley, High FLow Cats, exhaust headers, etc..

They should focus on dropping the weight... make 350z or G35c 200lbs lighter.. That would help the performance, definitely!

Hopefully it doesn't look like the "long nose Z" aka the Fairlady Z type E (for emotional) they had in the first issue of Speed magazine. Man that thing is weird looking. The proportions just look all screwed up.

I wish they drop weight on track model... strange they didn't do it, since the name suppose it to be lighter if it's the same engine. If they put carbon seats, light battery, light wheels (instead of bigger wheels), titanium exhaust, less/lighter carpet, light mirrors (it's 6-8 lbs now) and no automatic window, no subwoofer, I guess 200 lbs is easily possible.

Than there is serious stuff: real hutch... if made of cf or aluminum at least with lexan window or just smaller glass, it can be another 50+ punds...

Than aluminum or titanium gas tank, cf might be too expensive....

Than headlights at 20lbs each(according to dwnshift) they can do something better.

C'mon for that price of track they gotta give something real!

Than it'll be real track model... not just overpriced brakes and overpriced, but not that light wheels

Wow, I would be pretty pissed if the 05 comes out with 300hp. Just because it seems like I've spent like 2k to get to 300!

And for the other conversation going on...."We don't want any trouble, not in any language" --from Tombstone

Just got my monthly bill and the little statement upper right corner said the new Maxima has 265HP and I think also minor interior ups. But I thought that's what the Maximas had anyway, no? 260HP?

Nissan seems to make changes for most of the 05 models in both interior and HP. It is logical for them to up the Z as well....

hrm...the older people in my family do, but its a really difficult language even for me. Its just all twisted up and the dialect doesn't make one bit of sense.

I don't think so considering that (at least in the Altima's case) the trend is to make the interiors more like the Z's. Besides, the cost involved in doing so for a relatively low volume vehicle.

It's funny, the salesman at the dealership I orderd my car from said that they are bringing back the twin turbo next year. I know he's full of it, because through all my research I did before ordering the car I never even heard that mentioned. I think BSing is just part of thier job.

no way! a dishonest car salesman? please say it is not so
seriously though, the only thing they really need to fix with the 05's is the tire feathering issue.
