I don't remember if I asked this before, but around how much mph are you at when shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd?

For me, from 1st to 2nd, around 15mph, then 2nd to 3rd, at around 30-35mph.

 

hm... but with the gear ratios, should'nt it be around 30 + ?

 

I usually shift 1-2 around 7-9mph and then 2-3 around 20mph. That's just for regular driving. I'm sure if I was really trying to push the car I would shift at redline every gear. I don't really know what aznkukuboi is talking about. You can do the 2-3 shift at a higher speed or lower speed, depending on how you drive.

 

Perhaps you can watch your speedo when you shift gears at your predertimed rpms redline included.

usually round 2500rpm for usual driving. gas is gettin way too hi

 

I seem to shift at 2000 to 2500 1st to 2nd perhaps 2700 to 3rd gear and 3,000 to 4th gear. Seems 5th and 6th are reserved for the expressways - and still shift around 3000 rpm

 

I said MPH not rpm haha

 

The tach is there for a purpose! Use it wisely.
