Default A Nissan 350Z ran a red light

FYI - Remember to stop at red lights.

Posted April 19 2004

An accident Sunday, about 1 p.m. claimed the life of a man driving a Nissan 350Z, his name was not available pending the notification of his family.

Witnesses told deputies that a man driving a Nissan 350Z ran a red light at Seminole Pratt Whitney and Indiantown roads west of Jupiter, Sgt. David Grant said.

A Chevrolet pickup hit the car in a T-bone crash and the Nissan was pushed into a wooded area by the impact, Grant said. The pickup flipped and landed upside down, Grant said.

The driver of the Nissan was dead at the scene, while the driver of the pickup was taken by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

His injuries were not life-threatening, Grant said.

Two other people in the pickup were taken to Jupiter Medical Center.

well he had it coming, I feel worse for the guy in the truck.

his fault or not, he has to personally deal with playing a part in another persons death.

something tells me, we'll never know.

really, if a member just stopped posting would anyone really notice? if they did would they automaticly think they got killed in a car accident. probably not.

I agree, there is really no way to find out. There is a decent possibility that it was though.

I wonder if he had side air bags. Probably didn't matter though.

After seeing the side impact crashes from SUV's, I don't think the guy had a chance being so low to the ground and hit by such a high vehicle. Airbags wouldn't mattered.

Drive safe all.

So running a red light means you deserve to die.

Nice logic ARES.

Sometimes your age shows.

Statement of the obvious: I am not condoning the running of a red light.

no didnt say he deserved to die, I said he had it coming. if you shoot yourself in the head, you had it coming; not reflecting on whether you deserve to die or not.

rob a bank, and shoot and the police; you have it coming.

there is a difference.

if he accidently got distracted somehow, passed out, a bee flew into his eye, then I am sorry. but if he straight up blew through the light, he had it coming.

There was an article of an insane guy that was driving a Z when the police shot him... can't remember if he was IN the Z at the time he died or just got out. Can't quite recall the crime, but I'm sure someone on the board remembers...

Had it coming? Are you serious? So doing something dumb warrants a death sentence?
There is not a person who has a drivers license that at one point in there life has not run a light or accelerated to get through a yellow just before it turned red.

I believe the innocent comment was meant for the car itself, not its driver.

I think you guys are taking ARES out of context. He stated he dose not mean the guy "had it coming" to get killed.

I think the context ARES was trying to use is that with every action there is a reaction.

Kick a ball and it will travel away.
Hit a ball with a bat and it will fly.
Speed in front of a cop and he will ticket you *Usually hehhe*.
Run a red light and there is a High chance of getting into an accident.

In this case "he had it coming" refers to the accident. Not that the individual that died in the accident. It could have been a scratch on the car and "he had it coming" for running the red light. This ofcourse all assumes it was done intentionally.

As ARES said, if running the light was accidental then the outcome is most unfortunate. But intentionally trying to get around the traffic system designed to provide safe driveing for everyone is never a good idea. Hence "he had it coming".
