I considered a s2000 but I am to tall and don't like convertibles. So I started building a AE86 with s2000 engine. Same front rear weight ratio. Not convertible. Same or maybe less weight. Plenty of head and feet room. But I did buy a Z and in the process of building (how long does it take to paint a car now days) it, but still more excited about the 86. cant wait to get back to it.

"Oh, I'm inside my man car holding the stick"
Sounds kinda ghey, to me, but if that's your life choice, who am I to judge? My Z is all kinds of woman and I love bein inside her
You don't say either. Of course it sounds gay, that is why people don't do what you describe for either gender.

A chick car is a car that women want to drive and own because they think it's cute and fun. Similarly, a guy car is a car that men want to own and drive because it is entertaining and fun. These are different sets of cars. For example, the Miata is a cutesy car that women like. The new Camaro is a car that women pretty much don't "get", but a lot of men buy them despite that fact.

Guy car examples: Viper, Corvette, Camaro, Ford GT, STI/Evo, Mustang and probably most pickup trucks.

Chick car examples: Miata, Mini Cooper, Mercedes C230, RX-300/RX-330, BMW X3, and most Volkswagens (Passat, R32, etc.).

I have owned 2 s2000's (both AP1 and AP2) and currently I own my first 05' 350Z. Both cars are amazing I absolutely love my Z, but I do miss my s2k's.

Here is my Ap1 (mugen hood, RGII wheels, TI single exhaust, AP2 exterior etc etc)

This picture was taken at _____ AFB when we moved the F-16 out of the hanger lol and pushed the car down the flight line to get to the hanger. Fun times.

well if ur on a 350z forum of course ur gonna get more ppl liking the 350z over a s2000 and vice versa.

i have both currently and i prefer my s2000 hands down. its much more fun to drive and its great driving on sunny days. the handling is SO much better than a Z. i have a supercharged S2k so power is not an issue. so My fav thing is that its a better daily driver. And i also get alot more coompliments with the s2000.

id take an s2000 over any non sports car. there arent many choices for real 2dr rwd budget sports cars, that being said i would take an s2k over an evo or sti.
But i would never consider getting an s2000 because it is made by honda, the company that thinks fwd and under 200tq = a sports car. street race wannabe civic/integra drivers have just made the whole honda name un-respectable. if the car wasnt made by a company that F's up every car they make with either FWD or gas saving priorities, and was made by mazda i might like it.
nissan ftw perfect compan=perfect cars. tho if they made a 2012 240 as a 4cyl, smaller paltform than the 370, it would directly compete against an s2000 and be a perfect first sports car.

That looks nice. I drove my friend S2K and I barely fit (6'2)... I felt a little odd driving down PCH with my head just creeping out over the windshield.

I hope there was ice on the freeway... because spinning out in a straight line in a S2K is really shameful...

The single reason I chose Z over s2k after test drive... torque, hp and usability.
I don't want/need to wake up every neighbors around just so i can get on the high way ramp. 100% power around 8000rpm is cool. but 90% of power at 3000rpm is so much better... I would get sick of revving the sh*t out of my engine every time i need some power.

just got my 07 ZR a couple weeks ago and love it; I'v never considered both a Miata and a S2k.. Z is definitely better than a Miata or a S2k to me (sorry about that if you have/had them). just don't like their shapes.. regret that I'd rather buy a Z Coupe.. When my ZR is top up, hmmmm, but I always drive with top down, so it's fine.

3the 350 vert has definately grown on me. they look crazy cool when drifting with the top down. the 370 vert is a different story. wtf is up with that wierd lookin thing? definately an ugly duck
hard top s2ks are usually pretty intimidating till i see that big H hanging off the bumper.

+1

Also, at 6'2" I found the S2k a bit cramped. I also live in the PNW where it rains year round. A ragtop is not practical.

I was just wondering why you think that. I think both the STi and s2000 are sweet rides. AWD can be fun too.

And I am on the same page with you on that smaller platform 240. Is it a rumor or is it true that there will be a 2.0L turbo charged infiniti coming out? A new G20 or w/e. Because if they do then Nissan would too I guess...
