I use to be a die hard Honda fan. Had a couple of Civic's, an Integra, and a RSX-S. I had my heart set on a S2k ever since it came out. But in the end, the VQ's throaty growl and drop dead sexy looks won me over. I still get compliments from co-workers everyday even though I've had the car for 6 months No regrets buying the Z whatsoever

Sold my AP1 before I bought the Evo X. Wish I had kept it as a project car.

You guys are confused a bit. It doesn't matter if men drive a "chick car", it is still a chick car. Back at my last workplace, every single Miata was owned by a woman. They LOVE those things. They like the tiny size, the open top, etc. It doesn't matter if Skip Barber uses them to teach driving. Women are attracted to them like free chocolates at Godiva.

NOTE: I know this thread is old. But it's true.

I don't understand what designates certain cars as "chick" cars, but...

Wouldn't you rather be inside of a girl.....car?

It sounds a lot better than

"Hey, John, what are you up to?"

"Oh, I'm inside my man car holding the stick"

Sounds kinda ghey, to me, but if that's your life choice, who am I to judge? My Z is all kinds of woman and I love bein inside her

I once had a S2000. I had it for 5 years and I would have to agree with everyone with that it is a fun car. But in my opinion I don't compare them to the Z. comparing my 01 S and my 03 Z, looking at numbers the Z and the S both have the same 1/4 mile times and power to weight. Every person i talk to at car shows tell me buying the Z its a step up. which I agree. I gained 47 Hp and 121 tq over the S. I have more trunk space and interior room. I just love the power of the Z. having to go to redline just to get the power gets a lil boring after awhile. The way I look at it is the S is a go cart and the Z is a muscle car.
I do kinda miss having the convertible and I do miss the very short shifting 6 speed.
I ended up getting the auto with tiptronic over the 6 speed cause i read that the 03 and 04 have low reliability trannies. the tranny in the Z is both worlds. i just don't have to worry about a clutch.
here is a pic of my S.

The S2000 is an aboslute turd in a straight line. It does handle very well and looks alright. I would probably prefer it over a Miata UNLESS it was the Mazdaspeed Miata. Either way I really don't see the S2000 as a direct competitor to the 350Z.

I've loved the Z for the longest time. It's been a dream car of mine since i was a wee lad. It's always been a tad pricey tho so a dream car it stayed. I looked into plenty of other cars, the 300zx, Evo, 240sx, and s2000. However, i found myself at the right place at the right time and the Z was within reach. I have my Z now and couldn't care less about the s2000 or anything else I've considered in the past.

I've driven a few S2ks. I really liked the interior. So far it's the only car that I fit in perfectly. Not too big not too small, and everything was perfectly spaced. It just felt right. I really wanted a Suzuka blue one, but I was only 16 and wasn't anywhere near being able to afford one in anyway.

I do like my Z better though. It doesn't take till 5000rpms to put a smile on my face and there is no way I'd daily a convertible again.

My last car was a 2003 s2k, but I skid into a jersey barrier one fine raining day and totaled it. I had if for about a year.lol but I just got my Z, and I'll have to say the Z wins in all categories for me, I kind of miss the convertible experience, but I don't miss the upkeep it came with, not to mention the little wear holes that easily form on the top and the paranoia of thieves. But don't get me wrong the S is a very fun car, my gf thought it was girly.haha Stability control is my friend now btw

Any basic coupe and convertible is a potential chick car. I don't mind whatever you call the Z.

Some Vtecfanboidouchebag at a trackday event told me directly that the Z is only good for only picking up women. I made him shutup after I smoked their Vtec. It's the Honduh fanbois i can't stand man.

I got respect for the S2k. It looks nice, great engine and I know it handles great but I love the Z overall.

performance comparison in real racing environment. IMO The Tsukuba is a pretty tight track as well. So it's real comparison between the two in terms of power and handling.

I have a 2008 nismo, I just helped my friend find a s2000 and test drove it. I prefer my Z, but I would get a s2000 over a Z convertible...
