Default JWT Popcharger contacting water??

Guys,

I am thinking about getting a popcharger tomorrow, but I have one question. Since it is near the hoodline, would it ever have a chance of contacting water (cause by rain or car wash).

Last week I washed my car and it was parked in my driveway (driveway has a mini slope) and notice some slight water drops through the hoodline and make contact with the stock air box cover.

Even if it gets to the popcharger, would that be too minimal to cause any damage?

Thanks,
Tony

That a good question. I too was contemplating installing the JWT popcharger, but every time I wash the car and raise the hood to dry the inside of the fenders and by the radiator, I notice water running down on the stcok air filter, where the popchargers would go. Hopefully someone with the popcharger installed can give us some insight on this...

This would be correct.

I don't think a drop of water would cause any trouble. I've had my Popcharger installed for a few weeks now and car washes haven't been a problem to date.

I have a pop charger with no heat shield and a hood with 7 huge vents... when it pour's i still drive it with no problems...

you have nothing to worry about with water with the pop charger...

if you drive into a 3 foot puddle, then you should worry about the pop charger, but I think you would be worrying more about your shoes and the rest of your car first!

Jason,

Since you are at Performance nissan, would you know if installing a popcharger would void the warranty??

When are you usually at work? Got to see ur car bro and hear the popcharger sound before buying.

I bought my car there and Jake is the sales guy. Great service and good dealership!!!

Thanks,
Tony
