Question S2K antenna.

How good does this antenna work on the 350Z? I noticed quite a few owners have purchased these. ZRA.

Hey KC,

Just go to your nearby Honda Dealership. It cost about 28 bucks.

That's a bit overpriced. My local Honda only charged $19.

Maybe they gave you the discount they usually give to autoshops.

Hm, dunno. I recall seeing other people here posting in other threads that it only cost them $19-$20 or so as well.

I got mine from H and A accesories, their address is:
http://www.handa-accessories.com/

It was $20 and it had a quick delivery with no charge.

The reception is good. The color is a little off, it's more of a matte black finsh rather than a shine or gloss. The antenna base is just a little larger than the original. The thread is the same.

It looks a lot better than the original. The cheap aluminum one that is also for the Z is a piece of crap. I had this one on for a month, reception sucks and it clashes with the rest of the colors and materials of the Z.

Make sure you tighten the antenna really good. Some folks use lock-tite, but then you won't be able to get it off. I have heard of a few instances where people will steal your antenna's.

my reception was as good as stock with the stock radio in, but once i switched to an aftermarket clarion deck, reception is terrible. the antenna is plugged into the back of the deck - any ideas on why the drastic change? it's a clarion dxz835mp by the way. it's so bad that I can't listen to the radio.

Same thing happened with my Alpine CDA-7894. If XM didn't require mounting that ugly hockey puck somewhere, I'd consider getting it.

I think Dr. Bonz hid his XM antenna inside the strut bar or whatever you guys have in the back with a Z on it. Anyway my reception sucks as well Alpine HU but I got an even shorter antenna than the S2K but I only use Xm now anyway.
