I think that you can guess the pricing on the GT-R by looking at the prices of the ///M3, S4 and AMG C-class, because that's the market the GT-R is competing in. As far as the "legendary" thing goes, the M3 is "legendary" also. And as far as the Japanese import enthusiasts go, remember they're only relevant if they have $60,000 to spend on a car and can get insurance for it.
That market segment is going to be more crowded (read: competitive - including pricewise) with a GT-R thrown into the mix and a new IS300 sedan and coupe with a V8 option out before the GT-R even gets here.

I would by a new GTR as well. But I may wait till 2008. So all the bugs get worked out for the first year run. I would hope it would have a Nissan badge on it as well. But I am not holding my breath on that.
I heard that it is really unlikely that it would make it over, because Japan would have to show a greater interest from american and so far it's only popular btween 18-25 yr olds.
