Hey I just bought a Used '03 350Z touring with nav. But the rearview mirror I see on it looks different from what's on the nissan site.

I don't see any homelink buttons. There's just one button on the left saying comp (for compass) and one on the right with Temp.

Did someone put an aftermarket mirror in here? It does have the Compass in the top right corner like the one with homelink, but I dont see any homelink buttons on mine.

Looks like they did. I've never seen any 350Zs with that mirror. Mine has the 3 Homelink buttons + auto/off dimming buttons.

Yours looks kinda like the one on my Maxima (Homelink buttons are on the sun visor), except there was no compass on the mirror on 02 Maxes.

Could this be the mirror from a base model Z? They don't have the Homelink on theirs.

Maybe he had it replaced and went with the cheaper factory mirror.

 

That's definately not the mirror off of the touring. Looks A/M.

 

Definitely not a stock mirror from a Z.

 

Go talk to seller. That's not the mirror that came with a Touring.

 

Not on the Base. The Base doesn't have any buttons except a lever (manual) that darkens the mirror for night driving.

 

The mirror with the compass was an accessory item available in Japan. All Touring models come with the Homelink buttons. Maybe the dealer will swap but I doubt it since they didn't catch it when they took the car in.

 

Well, does it have a compass?

My mirror has the homelink...but no compass....so perhaps the person upgraded to get a compass in there....but why would you need that with NAVIGATION? I'm confused...

 

All tourings have the homelink feature.

 

Well I am a second hand owner of this car. Maybe the old one got stolen and they replaced it with the wrong one.

Yeah it does have a compass in the top right corner.

Also there's four wires comming out from the roof connecting to it.

red/white/green/black

 

Mine is a Base and its just a mirror without anythin on it.

 

Are you sure the car wasn't wrecked?? If it was and the winshield was shattered, they may have but this mirror on it when they replaced the windshield.

 

Definitely aftermarket..........
