Question Front Plate

I would be interested in how many z owners have thier front plate on. I've refused to put it on and the police could not be happier. Envy runs deep for the Boys in blue....

Front plates are mandatory in California. I use the 'Zee Bracket' that mounts on the grill, not the bumper.

I've been driving it in CA for almost two years now and over 23k miles, on busy highways and never a ticket (yet). I say, leave the plate off!

I have the front plate on, but only because the dealership had already drilled the front holes. Dammit!

They did that to me too, but I'll take driving around with holes in the bumper as opposed to the front plate

I dont use a front plate. How much are the tickets for "no front plate"? And it won't affect your insurance right?

Being that you're in CA, the fix-it price is the processing fee and it shouldn't affect your insurance for any reason.

Not only did the dealer drill 2 holes in the front bumper, but there are also 2 indentations from the screws they use for the actual plate. They over tightened them. IDIOTS!!!

So yeah, I'm running front plates.

I use to think that the front plate would make the car look horrible. But you would be suprised to see that you can really add something to the car if you put on one of those "Z" license plate holders. It doesn't bother my anymore.

Plus, I'd hate to get a pulled over for such a minor issue. I have a Redline Z so it catches enough attention as it is from cops.

Those indentations are there already, before you get plates.

I know they were there before I put the plates on. The dealer put the dents there when they tightened the screws for their advertisement plate.
