Red face Opinions on Carbon Fiber Dash Kits

I was looking into Carbon Fiber Dash kits for our Z's. I seen the setup the Performance Nissan car had from SuiteEgrafx and looked nice but the price was kinda steep around 600 or something. Is there a dash kit out there that looks OEM or looks flush rather than those thick stick on type. I've seen some pics of these 3mm stick-on kits but not sure. Does anyone have these dash kits and can post pics and some opinions. I would hate to order on and find out it looks cheesy. I was looking into NYC dashes for there carbon fiber basic dash kits.

I'm not such a huge fan of the regular carbon look, but I did see a color matched daytona kit on a Z a few months ago. It looked amazing~!

Installation was a bit tedious. You have to be careful when lining up. Just take your time. Took me 2 hrs to do the install.

As the pix showed, the 3M kit sits several mm above the original surface.

Im not a carbon fiber guy. I think it is overrated and played out unless you are buying carbon fiber race parts for weight reduction and strength. I like the brushed aluminum look dash for our Zs. It goes with the theme better. I bought my kit off ebay for 149. It was a buy it now from dash trim. Very happy with quality and it was an easy install if you follow the directions and take your time.

I still dont get the carbon fiber thing. I could understand if you changed out all your body panels, but having just a CF food or front lip makes the car look like it was wrecked and put back together with spare parts....I just have to have all my stuff matching.

Having a new interior setup of CF could be cool, but I'd have to see one up close. I would want the entire interior taken out and replaced with CF....
