Interior: G

Exterior: Z

But I think a sport should focus on performance rather than having hi tech goodies like navagation systems... Overall both cars are great.

Z rules! I get plenty of looks and compliments! I don't see how a G gets you laid more than a Z.

Deffinetly the Z. g35s are nice, but they dont stand out from other cars like the Z does. With a bodykit though, the g35 can catch up I think. But stock, I would deffinetly say the Z is king.

rockinbboy, if you are trying to decide on getting a Z or a G to "gets more attention looks alone", get a ZR. You will definitely get more attention than the G, guaranteed.

i know how the g can get you laid more than the z.... BACKSEAT! but thats about it. lol

also i agree to a point that a car cant get you laid if you are hideous to begin with, but if you are a semi good looking guy/ girl in a Z the car deffinatly helps. i compare cars to fishing lures, a z is like a really good lure, you still need to know how to work it the right way in order to catch the fish, but its alot easeir than catching one with just worms. whether you know how or choose to reel them in once they are caught well that is up to you. thats my .02

I like them both and if I had the $$, I'd buy both of em. Fairlady Z has been my dream car since when I was young... and I finally got it. Skyline is always nice. When G35c came out, I was about to flirt.

After deliberating a *lot* on this issue, I have this much to say..

The 350Z's headlights are extremely well designed. Their razor sharp edges integrate perfectly with the hood and wheel lines. Subtle creases around the headlights beautifully extend their aggressive impact. The G35's headlights are decidedly less evocative. Their teardrop shape is not as edgy or eye catching. They are even a bit "bug-eyed" compared to the 350Z headlights. The rest of the front fascia on the 350Z doesn't have the same visual appeal. The 350Z's air intake, while aggressive, is coarse and uninteresting compared to the G35's twin intakes. The G35's chrome grill complements the broader lines of the G35 nicely while providing a good position for the logo, which is not as well placed on the 350Z.

I initially didn't like the backside of the G35; now, I now absolutely love it. I used to think it stuck out like a big flat "ghetto booty." Now, I think they are a vital part of the sexy character of the car. The tail lights remind me of afterburners. The entire backside is very clean and makes the lettering look very good. The flat backside also creates lines that make the rear haunches of the G35 very taut and graceful while maintaining the muscularity of those on the 350Z. The backside of the 350Z is well done, but is not as good as the G35's. The backside is certainly less controversial and eye-catching than the G35's. The tail lights don't occupy a lot of space on the back, but they make the rear 3/4 view of the car a bit awkward. Overall, the back side is not as clean as the G35's.

The flat backside of the G35, though aesthetically impressive in of itself, has an unfortunate drawback. The car just doesn't look as at home on a track as the 350Z does. This may also be due to the car's larger size. When tearing around curves, it sort of seems like the G35's backside is dragging along. But if one is concerned mostly with getting "looks" on the street then this is not really an issue.

I think that the Infiniti logo is a bit more appealing than the Nissan logo, which sort of reminds me of a hamburger . The "350Z" lettering is cooler than the "G35" lettering. Also, the 350Z has a cool Z insignia near the front doors, which the G35 lacks. The door handles on the 350Z are a bit of a toss up. They break up the monotonous side of the car (which is particularly large on the G35) but they stick out awkwardly at certain angles. The stock wheels on both the 350Z and G35 look equally good and match their respective car's character equally well.

The 350Z is very raw and aggressive. The G35 is more curvy and futuristic, and still retains the aggressiveness of the 350Z. So, stock for stock, I would say that the G35 is better looking.

The situation is completely different, however, when it comes to wheels, spoilers, bodykits, and the like. The 350Z absolutely dominates in this respect. The stock spoiler of the G35 is far less appealing than the stock spoiler of the 350Z. A big FMIC would look awesome on a 350Z, whereas G owners who want to retain the good looks of their car are forced to go with more of a "stealth" setup. Some wheels look good on the G35, but a lot more wheels look better on a 350Z. I haven't yet seen a truly successful bodykit for the G35; the closest I've seen is Top Secret's. Compared to the NISMO kit on the 350Z, however....there is simply no competition.

As I see it, the problem with modding the G35 is that it has a complex, luscious shape to begin with. When one adds, say, a side skirt or a front lip, it creates a jagged edge which adds more complexity and takes away from the smooth curves of the car. This may be appealing to some, but for me, it creates a bit of cognitive dissonance - as in, "I am looking at a smooth luxury car, but it's trying to look like a race car." The 350Z, on the other hand, is simpler and just begs to be modded.

In conclusion, if you want to keep the car stock, then the G35 is a better choice; however, if you are into appearance mods, then go with the 350Z.

What an interesting idea, a G vs. Z thread on looks alone. Such a wonderful idea to compare these two cars! I've never read anything like it.
