Talking I saw my second Z today.

I was getting a little depressed because I thought that my car might be arrive in September. Now It's looking more like November.

So anyway I was thinking of maybe getting a 330Ci instead. I saw the review in Automobile 330Ci vs G35 coupe. The G35 coupe has 280 hp BTW, and the two cars put up very similar numbers. I believe the Z is about 0.5 seconds quicker.

Anyway I know the G35 is cheaper than the bimmer, but if I had to choose between the two I'd go for the Bimmer all the way. I think it has more class, style, etc. (no flame it's just my opinion).

Anyway, I come out of Best Buys in Frederick MD, and I see this audi tt convertible Parked so I drive by it. Not bad looking.

BUT then all the way in the back of the lot away from all the other cars I see a Black 350Z. This is the second time I ever saw one and it looked better than I remembered.

I am not saying it looked like a 911, but it has that kind of stance. Also the two are almost the same size. I got out of my truck and walked around a few times. I felt like waiting for the owner to come out and fire it up. But I didn't want to look like a stalker.

Bottom line when I got home the BWM dealer called me up and I was like "nevermind, I'm getting a Z"

Lol, I have yet to see a black Z. Only CS, Blue, and PPW. I need to see all the colors! But every time I saw it, I just stared and drooled.

Rai, exactly the same thing happened to me several weeks ago. I was lured into thinking German when the 350Z seemed too far away. Kevin, whom I met on this forum and lives in the same neck of the forest that I do here in the Seattle area, was kind enough come over to my house and give my wife and me a ride. He even let me drive it. That was all I needed. I am now waiting patiently.

I hear you. Rep15. At least you got a VIN. Anyway I got other cars so at least I'm not walking.

Like they say, the longer you wait for something the more you will appreciate it.

That's why a lot of us get so steamed at those kids that are like my dad bought me a bimmer, but the Z looks more rice-able so do you think my dad should buy me one for my b-day?

I agree, I worked hard and I am giving the Z to myself as a present, believe me the wait is worth it this car is so much fun to drive and the attention you get is amazing. I was feeling down a month ago when everyone around was getting the first batch of cars and mine was still waiting in JAX with no word as to when it would come down, but gcinfl was kind enough to come by and let me see his and even drive it around the block that held me over. Is there anyone around your area in this forum that you could hook up with? Come on guys give rai a boost anyone in the area go see him!!!!!!!!

It’s no doubt that the wait is painful and the fact that there are so many people that have taken delivery of the Z’s makes the wait even worse. But, hang in there. Don’t give up on the Z. I’ve been waiting since 3/3 and this month is supposed to be the month I take delivery. Furthermore, it would be pretty embarrasing when a Z goes smoking past you on the highway in that 330ci!

I must admit though, the 330ci was also pretty heavy on my mind a few weeks ago.

I just saw a BLACK Touring Z today in Crystal Lake, IL at the Nissan dealer. I have seen three of the colors (LeMans, Brickyard, Black). The Black "smoked" I wasn't really considering the Black until today. I just have to see the Silver's and the Blue, but the Black looked sharp. The door handles and the chrome details on the car stood out in the black.
