Default Best 350Z moment

Well it's been a long, twisty road. For many of us it's over. For many more it's about to be over and still others have just started. Some of us have been down since day one, that awefull 99 concept. Then came the awe inspiring 2001 sonic orange beauty. Followed by another year of waiting unil the 2002 "production" concept. Then things got hot. Rumors, images, pictures, sighting, more rumors and sighting, pictures of the pre-production car all the way up to final specs.
Along this journey what was the most memorable moment for you??

My vote has to go to the video of GM president Bob Lutz the first time he saw the Z in person. That was one of the funiest things I've even seen. Big ups to whomever found that clip and posted it.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh, this is the first time I've seen it in Silver, ahhhhhhhhhh"

my most memorable moment was when autoweek posted a bunck of silverstone picstures, and I spent a lot of time just staring at them.

The other moment would be when I saw the interior for the first time.

This is probably one of the best threads i've read in a while. Maybe because i've been around for a while. There have been some memorable moments in the evolution of the Z and this site. But, one of the best moments was when Scafremon got the spy shots of the daytona blue track at NNA headquarters. That was the first time we go to see the aero package. Man, I stared at those pics for hours.

I think the best point was when I drove my Z up to some club in downtown Austin, and I had a bunch of SUPER hot Texas chicks come over to my car, and offer to....oh, wait. That hasn't happened yet....damn! Me and my stupid Nostrodamus-like insights to the future!

Reading Sports Car International with the Sonic Orange Z conceot on the cover. I thought, wow thats a cool car. Then, wow, its a Z. Wow, its 30,000. Wow, I might be able to drive that one day... nah, its never gonna happen. Looking back now, that was a great moment

This thread is one for me.

Thanks Zay & Integraowner. It means alot to me that you guys would mention those pics as a memorable moment during our wait for our Z's.

Needless to say, that day is quite a memorable one for me too. Driving back to the office with those pics in my camera, calling a co-worker, and telling him to log-on to the site to let everyone know I was on my way back with some Daytona Blue Track pics...lol...those were some fun days!

One moment that you old timers will remember is when InternetAbyss started the "Post your R & S Number" thread. At that time, I think we all figured that all orders were either an R or an S. Orders starting with T's, U's, V's, W's - who would've thought! I was home from work ill that day, and that was the day that many people started calling their NNA reps, and 1-800-nissan1, and we pretty much shut down their customer service function for a couple days, as we demanded updates to our orders. That was a memorable day...and that thread that InternetAbyss created turned into the VIN soup.

Lots of good times are ahead of us, but nothing can replace those early days of waiting and sharing information on this forum.
