I know this has been brought up before but ...
I get a static shock EVERY time I exit the Z.
It literally drives me crazy now.
Combined with a stereo problem, the feathered tires, and now this ... I seriously may get rid of this car. Seriously.
Does any one have a solution? A seat pad or a goddam coil on my wrist or a battery up my ***?
Please help.

Haaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Seriously though, having been a starter of a similar thread over the winter (HInt....Search), I've not seen a valid solution to the issue. Like me, you probably close your door with your fingers, so try using the heel of your hand. The shock will still be there, but it's a. more dissipated over a larger surface area of your skin and b. in an a much less sensitive area than your fingertips.
I know, not a great answer, but it's something!

There is a way to avoid it. Once you open the door, reach with your left hand and hold onto the little loop of metal where the door latches to (it's dark colored). Then, holding onto this metal, get out of the car. Now, touch the ground with your finger/skin/toe/whatever. Now you can let go and close the door as normal.
Leather seats will also fix this problem...

Grip and hold onto something like the door handle before getting out of the car. Let go of the handle AFTER you remove yourself from the seat and your feet from the carpet. It works
