Default No new amp for Bose systems...

According to NNA, there will not be a new amp installed as a cure for the Bose issues. They are aware of the rumors and posts in zcar but stated very definitively that this would not happen.

They did release this statement to the reps at NNA today so there is still hope!

Whether the "fix" requires a new amp or not all I can say is they better do something. My volume changes just sitting still without the motor running (in radio mode) let alone when I drive! Extremely annoying

Not just changing volumes but the other day I turned down the radio and it went automatically right back to where I had it set. I turned it down again, same thing. I turned it off.

Goober...

You are right. The volume control does not really have a "down to zero" setting. It is all relative. I "spun" it to the left several times with no appreciable difference. IT SUCKS! If Nissan doesn't do something about it, they will **** off a lot of people! If they don't want to fix it just give us the cost sowe can have a "real" unit put in! I for one will gladly eat the difference.

A song that normally fades out gets louder at the very end instead - this auto volume control stuff stinks - we don't need it.

Can anyone explain why the noise compensating feature is a Bose issue? Even Nissan refers to it as a problem with the Bose system and not the Clarion system. Did Bose design this function? I've always associated Bose with speakers.

The amplifiers are supplied by BOSE.

Technically your correct but as long as Bose uses components from other makers and puts "Bose" on the label it's their problem to resolve

The head unit that I pulled out says Clarion on it. The sub amp that I pulled out says Bose on it. I guess the question is the location of the noise dampening circuitry. I was under the impression that it was part of the amp since the people that are adding amps but keeping the head unit are not having a problem.

I replaced everything.
