I always ask myself how much I'd pay for a 350Z Touring I've never seen before...on eBay?? I might pay 23K but not much more.

I asked my local BMW dealership what they'd give me for my 2004 Touring in a trade on a 545 and they offered 27K sight unseen as their opener. That's rock-bottom trade-in. (I don't plan to trade it, in case you're wondering.) With my thorough maintenance records and a close visual inspection, I would expect to be able to sell mine to a private buyer for maybe 29K or even more, depending on the season and the current supply for sale.

that's for an 03. Your 04 most likely doesn't have many miles on it. Look for your depreciation to hit harder when the 05's come out.

That person got a pretty damn good deal. I woulda jumped at that if I didn't get a Z yet. It even has leather seats...

Check out the winning bidder's post in the seller's feedback:

that feedback was for a Supra, but its still not likely they bought 2 cars from that 1 person.

Agreed that it's cheap, but you can never base the value of a car on an EBAY price. For a car the risks involved with buying sight-unseen are great...so buyers will need a HUGE discount off of fair market value.

I emailed the seller and asked him what he wanted for the car. He wants quite a bit more than 23k for the car so i have no idea why he wouldn't have set a higher reserve. Here's his response:

The car is a 350Z touring and has one small scuff on the plastic mud flap and that is it. I want 27700. for the car and if we can work out something I would be happy to sell the car to you. I have a person trying to get a check for the car now and he will let me know today if he is buying the vehicle. Please fell free to call me and ask any questions about the car.

23K is a steal of a price. I Have a touring model w/5AT
10K mileage and have been offered 28950. Hmmmmm
C6 Vette, nah my ride will stay its course with me.

Hmm, well I would be skeptical... As Im sure many of you all know, several 350z owners are selling thier cars because of numerous build quality issues............its within the realm of possibility that this dude is selling his 350z because its a lemon......just a thought.......

By the way, several of my friends bought thier rides off ebay to "save a little" and got completely ripped off by poorly maintained cars.....Sure, somebody might be selling you a car with 12K on it but when 1,000++ miles of it is from dragging it 3 times a week as well as going out to numerous track days and flogging the car all day long you are going to get a car with some wear and tear issues to say the least.......I bought my 2004 350z brand spanking new and you know what: It might have taken me an extra year to save up the $$ but it was damn sure worth it because Im the sole owner and take full responsibility and you know what: no problems yet (I also bought the 04 model because so freakin many of the 03 models are such complete pieces of **** your basically taking a crap shoot in buying one, new or used ;(

I was sorely tempted to pinch my pennies another year and put down for a Corvette Z06 in black.....but I weakened and got my Z....I may actually sell it soon and drive my POS camry until I have enough for the Z06.....which has been my dream car since I first set eyes to it........but my black Z reminds me of a Z06 in alot of ways........dont bust my ***** if you think Im wrong but I see a resemblance in many ways in terms of body style........
