Originally posted by ZZZ Rated I noticed the cruise control buttons on the right are missing. Maybe they don't have cruise control over in Japan???
I believe that is the stock steering wheel in Japan. I just checked a brochure (more like a book) a friend picked me up in Japan and all the cars have those buttons. They do not have cruise control in Japan according to a thread by Nocturnal. By the way, I was able to get one of the "factory" Momo steering wheels for $562 shippped from Japan (the same person that got me the brochure, placed the order for me while he was over there). This one is would be $482, but if it worked the stereo (and you had a Base) that would be pretty cool.
Originally posted by Dr Bonz If you were to buy something like this, does it include an airbag? I assume the answer is yes at that price.
Yes, that is one of the two optional Momo steering wheel upgrades on the Japanese 350Z. It does come with an airbag but the connections are a little different. At last check, they were going to be checking to see if the factory US airbag would fit in this steering wheel, otherwise they were going to rewire it so the airbag light would go off (and the airbag would still work). All of this work is being done out in California so I only get periodic updates. There was a lot of "talk" that the Momo steering wheel could only be sent via ship, but Nissan airfreighted my steering wheel over and I never read about a plane blowing up because of it!
BTW, Bonz this is way off topic, but could you either post or PM me a link to your AEM CAI installion thread on 350Zmotoring? I did the one on this board, but my ISP that was hosting my pictures left town and took my pictures with them and now there are only red Xs to go by. Every once in a while (like today) I have someone that asks me for the pictures and I end up emailing them. Recently I stumbled upon your thread, but now I can't find it. Thanks.
