so are you planning to trade your M3 for a z? if so why?

The reason I ask is that I was interested in buying the M3 instead of the Z but the cost difference was too much (at this point in time).

When i was shoping for my m3, i did the same thing and found out that the 01 m3s had many problems, so i waited for the 02s.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Harry
Some substantive problems:
- defective BOSE sound system
- headlight condensation
- rattling passenger seatbelt (there is a fix for this)

Any update on the condensation issue? I noticed a tiny bit in one of my lenses last night.

Is the fix for the seatbelt the clip that already exists? Did Nissan come up with something new? (Just curious, since the flapping seat belt is a tad bothersome to have to remember to clip it in place.)

The fix is the clip. I luckily haven't had any condensation.

I am hearing disappointing reports on the "other site" about abnormal wear causing fraying on the carbon fiber seats. This is quite disturbing. Any first-hand reports of wear on the outside bolster area from those on this site?

I can say this... the side bolsters are snug, so if you have a pager, cell phone, etc clipped to your belt, you might want to remove it, or risk tearing your seat.

Ive had to battle 2 rattle/squeeks to date. This to me, is a MAJOR pain in the ****. The were both due to poor fit and finish with rear bumper parts.

SIDE NOTE...if you are ever rear ended...sell the car, the metal collage of peices are history and will never be the same!

Over all very fun. But It sucks seing little tiny scratches, and little scuffs on plastic parts when you have been looking at picture perfect photos for 2 years!.
