Default Port Info

I have a question for you guys that have done your port research (NSANY). Typically, how long do the cars stay in port after being unloaded before they are transported to dealerships. For example, the boat I believe my car is on is the HUAL TRICORN, due in at Jacksonville on the 16 of this month. I live in MS and my dealer told me to expect delivery on the 21st. Given all goes well, is this enough time for my car to get here? (I am planning a business trip and wont be back on that day, and I DO NOT want my Z sitting at the dealership) Any thoughts?

Port prep turnaround has been four days at most lately. There may be cases where it takes longer, but this is the running average. Getting the car to your dealer is up to the logistics of the trucking company, which I can't speak assuredly about.

The last batch of Zs to show up in Newark were prepped, loaded, and generally delivered within seven to 10 days.

Keep in mind that once your car shows up on the nissandriven.com site, it means the trucks will have it at your dealer very soon thereafter.

Hope this helps...

I have no idea on the Z. However, other vehicles, such as my friends Mini, sat at the dock for a week before anything happened. This was due to customs, etc.

I main factor, on the Z anyway, has been the options, the cars with no or easy options (mats) are getting out quicker than cars with more time consuming options (splash guards) because they are sending out the easy ones first and leaving the ones with the more time consuming options for last, mine took 2 weeks from the time the boat arrived while others with only mats showed up 5 days after the boat arrived, same boat.
