I ordered somewhere around Jan17 (right around when they started accepting pre-orders) and received confirmation a couple weeks later.

Also, I received a survey about how interested I was in "Performance Enhancing" the Z from Nissan's performance parts division -- anyone else get that?

yup -- that's the one, it was an email. Wonder what the purpose of that was?

If they wanted to guage people's desire for performance parts I would think they woulda sent more of them out...

Yes, it was NISMO. If I remember correctly the survey asked about your likelyhood to purchase performance parts, what kinds, what background you had with performance tuning, etc...

I don't believe it seems like my dealer did not submit my order to nissan , NNA did not have it in their spread-sheet .. I should have called in a lot earlier to find out, hope I can still get my Z.

Its ok NDRIVER, I put my 1k deposit down in mid April too and I'm in your boat too. I called NNA and they said that if your dealer submits your order to them (NNA) in sept. you will probably still have your car to your specs specially made for you in Dec.-Jan. That's what they told me.

I strongly recommend those of you who thought they pre ordered and now find that their dealers dropped the ball complain loudly to Nissan. I think that Nissan responded to complaints from members of this and other boards and got on the dealers who were charging over MSRP. I know of at least one dealer in the Bay area who was charging an additional $3K, dropped the prices to MSRP in April.

thanks ZThang.
Someone at Nissan is supposed to find out what went wrong with my order, I was hoping for a sept. delivery, i guess a nov-dec. is better then nothing at all.

I'm not sure how dealers make their dough if they miss out orders !!

If you've not already received your confirmation I strongly suggest that you check with NNA and make sure that your order is in their list.

me too...I ordered may 31 and i agree about the whoopa$$...

I actually talked to my dealer about not getting a confirmation but he basically talked down to me...I assumed it was because I'm a girl and he thinks I don't know what I'm talking about until I busted out some "my350z.com info" I learned here and then he changed his tone...haha..but still no confirmation...

ZThang I don't know why they bumped you down to nov-dec, I talked to both NNA and my dealer, and seems like I should still get it around the sept. timeframe. I'm still wating for someone from Nissan to confirm my order details.

Jazmin, call NNA and make sure your order is in their system, in my case someone forgot to key-in my order into their system.

I called Nissan about two weeks after I had changed my order, they sent me back to the dealer, said there was nothing they could do until six weeks after the order change. I called Nissan exactly six weeks after my order change, the woman for my area called me back the next day, read my order to me and promised me a second confirmation. THE BAD NEWS: I know it sux, but I doubt you will get your confirmation or much help out of NNA until July 15th. THE GOOD NEWS: come July 15th NNA should be REAL helpful.
