Default Gear grind/noise at 2000 RPM

I have about 5500 miles on my Track Z. For last 3 days I have been noticing grinding/whining noise that comes on specifically as the rpm needle goes past 2000 rpm. Its most audible in 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 4th gear....and very occasionally 5th. Noise comes only when I am moderately accelarating past 2000 rpm. If I shift up very agressivley I do not seem to hear that sound or perhaps the engine noise subdues it. The noise is a 1-2 second whine or feels like grinding noise. Its not very loud; cannot be heard with radio on but can be picked up with it off. Any idea/clue as to why this noise would come only at a specific rpm??

Tranny and clutch problems already? Seems everyone is having some kind for tranny whinne? Maybe this is just because it is the first batch of fresh model cars out there.. Hope the g35c isnt going to have these troubles when it hits in Nov.

What number are you using to keep in contact iwth NNA? I bought my car in Connecticut but I live in Massachusets. It is not practical for me to make frequent trips to Connecticut dealer. Should I just visit service dept of local Nissan? Please advise.

Also, Internetabyss and Raceboy, Can you two please PM or email me the information of your service department? I would like to refer to this information when I talk to service people here and NNA.

Thanks
