Default Tire Recall Notice

I just wanted to let everyone know that I took my car into the dealer today to get the tires inspected. No surprise my tires are feathering after 7000 miles. New tires are on backorder. At least I will be getting new tires. The sound has been getting a little louder every day.

I just had my front tires replaced 6/25. Took about a month for the 18" tires to get to the dealer after he ordered. He said these tires are harder to get than 17". They did the alignment so I will now have wait to see if the feathering occurs again. I got a feeling it will probably occur again.

They only replace front tires - the back tires have no alignment issues.

The dealership that I got my Z at knew Nissan was going to recall the tires. They had my front tires replaced, front & rear aligned to the new Nissan specs and a new compression rod installed for the right front suspension under warranty. They even gave me a rental car at their expense for the for the three days my car was there. All this was done about 2 weeks before I received the recall notice. The car no longer pulls to the right and I've put about 4k miles on the new tires with no feathering issues (knock on wood). Hopefully, this latest fix will permanently fix the problem. I've only dealt with 2 Nissan Dealers here in the SF Bay Area, Magnussen's Fremont Ford-Nissan-Mazda and McKevitt Volvo-Nissan both dealerships have given me top notch service.
