I drive mine like I stole it. It would be a waste to own one if you don't drive it hard.

That's good information, since the 2000 Max has a VQ engine a lot like ours, right? Do you remember more detail? How rough was the break-in? What was wrong with the engine when you replaced it? Did it burn a lot of oil? How did you maintain it? (oil type, oil change frequency, etc.)
