Angry My Navi Door stopped working.

The spring or what ever made my navi door raise just stopped working. Now I have a nasty vibrating noise when I hit a bump. Is there any write up (I could not find one) on how to take apart the center console or should I take it to the dealer.

Do you have an 03 or 04? I'm wondering because my 04 door is pretty stubborn. When I press the button the door usually doesn't open...until the 5th or 6th press. It's weird and annoying but apparently I'm too lazy to fix it or get it fixed. I hardly use the compartment. I'll probrably get it checked out when I get my trans checked.

Mine is an 03. I never use my door. But one of the salesmen at work who flew in from the east coast was checking out my car and I was showing him all the little things in my car. I opened the door like normal then when I closed it, it went down like normal. I went to open it again and it wouldnt. And now I hear and nice noise like something is loose.

hell...mine is a manual door and for the first month it was very sticky...but fixed itself after that (or maybe I just KNOW how to hit the button now, in just the right way)....irritating.

the trick to the 04 button for the manual door is that you have to sort of lightly jab at it. as soon as you press it, quickly pull your finger away.

silverstonez, try doing a search on the service manual. i think it is still floating around here.
