Default The magic hour of driving

My sports car is for pleasure only so I try to take it out in peaceful hours when there are few others on the road. In this way I can enjoy working the car, listening to the engine, shifting gears, and taking in the sights. This rules out rush hour.

My real desire is to drive at 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning but I am usually not awake. I wish I had my own supply of military amphetamine that fighter pilots get but don't.

I have found that the "magic hour" between dusk and night is a good time. Most have already gotten home from work and the roads are usually clear. It is usually cooler so I don't have to use the AC.

I've noticed that this is when other sports cars come out to play- Vipers, Vettes, S2Ks, and Porsches. There is a silent affinity as we ride side by side in the cool of the night.

Between the hours of 7-8pm is my dream hour. Just drive down A1A (which is right on the beach) for a good 30 mins enjoying the lovely ocean view then into a state park which has alot of switch backs and a couple good staights which leads me back home.

i like to drive past 10pm... right around when most stores are closing so there's not much ppl on the road. but not too late tho as the drunkies come out around 1am. In the mornings, 5am is the sweet spot.. but i usually can't wake up that early

I find the best time to drive peacefully is in the morning between the hours of 6 and 7 when the sun is rising, no cars in the street, and the great smell of morning dew. Even nicer when your coming back from a girls house at that time

I love driving at night. There's this canyon that a friend and I love to run at night. No cops, no other cars. Just our cars and our driving. I try to avoid driving my car to school and work if possible.
