MP3 CD Changer!
I want to install Sony CDX-565MXRF in my car. The dimensions are (changer) 10-3/8"W x 3-5/8"H x 7-9/16"D; (display) 5-1/16"W x 1-5/8"H x 13/16"D
What do u guys think is the best place to install this one?
Do you think i can fit this in place of factory CD changer?
Thanx in Adv.

that's just the kind of player I've been looking for, since I have a lot of MP3's. But does anyone know if a unit like this can be hooked up to a stock, standard Z stereo (not Bose) via line out plugs or by some modification? I want to avoid using the FM signal tap-in, since it adds too much distortion.

You sure you don't want to look at Alpine's cd changer? (it also does mp3 cd's) Sony doesn't exactly sparkle when it comes to car audio.... but that's just what I have heard from car stereo installers. Someone else here might feel different about them?

I dont want to change my radio
I dont want to change the head uint. (Dont have enuf money to spend on it, I picked up floor Z, paid lil extra
My basic requirement are:
1. No extra for head uint
2. MP3 is must have.
3. Changer prefered.
So the only FM modulated MP3 CD changer options are Sony and Kenwood. I thought Sony is better option.
Now if I order it from Web.
How do i go about installing it? I am in Seattle area, Are there any good stores for this stuff?
Thanx

OK, I feel the need to chime in here. JMan is right! Sony Car audio Equipment is complete garbage. Ask some of the dealers and installers what brands get returned the most, and I'm sure Sony will be on top of the pile (pardon the pun )
But hey they make great TV's and Home electronics!
I would recommend the Kenwood or Alpine changers. Yes, you have to buy a little extra equipment to get them going and the sound quality will be downgraded due to the FM Modulated interface.
It's the price you pay for adding on to the stock deck.
Check out this link for some good pricing on car audio: http://www.etronics.com/mysearchcat....ectronics&SC=1

Golu- I would have a hard time paying somebody to install any stereo equipment unless you are seriousily non technical. (We're just talking about running a few wires here, and pulling some side trim and the head unit) Hooking up the Alpine changer is very simple to do. Take a look at the instructions before you go out and pay someone $100 to do it.
If you are going to pay to have someone do it I would recommend Magnolia Hi-FI over Car Toys.
-Good luck!
