Default '03 engine warranty question!? Help!

Can any '03 350Z owners tell me whether the powertrain warranty actually goes up to 60 thousand miles or 5 years? Or does the powertrain warranty actually expire when the bumper to bumper warranty does. Also, has Nissan extended their warranty on free alignment or replacement front tires due to the feathering?

powertrain should be 5 years. and the most people have gotten for the feathering has been new tires.

Has anyone gone through a 2nd set of front tires early, due to the alignment issue?

Niisan did extend the alignment warranty from 12 mo's to 24 mo's from in service date. It is mentioned in the SB on tire feathering

Is the feathering problem fixed with a simple alignment? What happens if you continue to have abnormal wear, even after multiple alignments? Will they not cover it?

Here's the story I got from a service guy at my local Nissan Dealer. He said that the feathering problem was caused due to strapping the cars down too tight durring shipping. thus, manipulating the alignment. He also told me that they had not had anybody come with feathering issues after the alignment was properly adjusted. I don't beleive the first part of the story due to the ongoing nature of the problem. Mine's going in next week for it's first alignment since I've owned it (2 months). I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks, definitely keep us posted. Will you ask about the engine warranty on '03's as well? Whether it goes to 60k?

On all Nissan brand cars, the powertrain warranty including the engine (except certain parts) is covered under for 5 years/60K miles. It's all in the warranty booklet that came w/your car.

Thanks! I haven't purchased a Nissan yet, but am looking at an '03. Do you know how long Nissan has offered the 5 year 60k warranty?
