for an awd car, i'd get the sti.
z for a rwd car. only drawback is limited space. g35 sedan wouldn't be bad.

The Z looks sweet.. and has the style other sportcars lack..

The COBRA with less than $5,000 in mods could smoke a Viper that costs twice as much..

And in the AWD dept. the STi has the advantage.. more reliable engines..

i'd get the g35 coupe. The mustang as nice as it is perofmance wise, it's a mustang : P

Though i'd get the mustang over the sti and evo, i'd get the g35 or 350z first.
All of this being hypothetical, as i own a maxima and am perfectly happy with it hehe.


I do have some z envy tho as my sig says.

 

I went through this before I bought my Z. I test drove the evo and the sti. I even got the dealership to give me a great deal on the evo(way cheaper than my z), but after driving it, it didnt feel sporty to me. By all means it was fast, but is still a sedan. It just didnt have the sports car feel. Same for the sti. Thats why I chose the Z, and now I am super happy I didnt go with any of the others!!

 

I would go with the cobra but if you wait a year there might be a faster one made off of the newer mustangs. Im not sure tho

im in the same predicament...

id take a '05 Evo VIII w/ leather package (the MR isnt much faster than the '05 EVO VIII since they all have 276hp and the same torque [increased for '05], just the shocks, rims, aluminum roof, and vortex spoilers are different). its not much lighter and i want the Sunroof and leather.

tho the 350Z is a sweet car, its not as fast, little trunk, and wont be great in the winter but its PIMP and the ladies will love it.

Cobra...would never consider an American car (except Jeep or Caddy).

STi...weak engines (detonates at 400+HP, sloppy transmission, odd clutch, ugly styling (compared to the others, even evo IMHO), and it doesnt come in red haha.

 

The Cobra convertible was my second choice. I chose the ZR instead because I preferred the way if felt to drive, and the way it looked.

Truth be known, my real first choice was a white Viper roadster, but that was just too much money.

 

if i had to pick again, i would probably have chosen an evo MR. the hype is real. of course, i'd much rather have a lotus elise over all above mentioned vehicles.

i think an evo MR would better suit my needs as a college student, but in no way am i downing my baby or regretting getting a 350z!
