OMG. I'm going to make a new post, and we should make it a sticky!
ATTENTION: THE VERY FIRST SUBARU AD POSTED IN THIS THREAD IS A FAKE. ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE (No, i'm not talking about the "two dikes and a cocker spaniel" one, because that is obviously fake.)
That forester ad came from a Subaru forum. It is not a real subaru ad.

All I know is that the Subaru needs more than performance to make up for the ugly design and styling.
My friend has a WRX and when the ladies have to choose between whose car they want to ride in they always pick my 350Z. Its too bad I don't have room in the back.
Subaru needs to design some new body styles.

na dont hate on subaru...i thnk their aggressive body style works for many people, just a matter of taste i think. Besides subaru tech. international spent years designing an approriate model to bring to the u.s. I thnk they did a good job carrying over the rally perspective...

The Forester vehicle is a mini-SUV, not meant to be a styling statement like the Z. Compared to the other SUVs on the road the Forester is not ugly at all. It is meant to be practical, not stylish, just like every other SUV on the planet.
The Forestor would be a perfect family vehicle where you need to haul people and stuff. The fact it can do 0-60 in 5.3, or 6.1, is pretty impressive in a segment where most Mini-SUVs run in the 8.0-9.0s. Subaru just raised the bar.
I wouldn't mind having this car right beside my Z. Lets face it, no SUV will ever look as good as a sports car. The Forester however combines practicality with performance, and I think Subaru did a great job with this SUV.
EDIT: By the way, Subaru might have underated the power of this engine. That 210HP must be at the crank. Probably for insurance purposes I guess.
