I am stupid--advice needed.
Today backing out of my driveway, put the clutch in did not hold the brake because parking brake was on or so I thought. I rolled back into the car behind me. Put a small dent in my car, bottom right side below the reverse lights, and two small gouges where the other cars liscense plate holder went into my bumper. Any ideas on how to fix this and how much it will cost?
Wondering if anyone has done this and how much it will cost me to fix it.

Well, this sounds like the rear-end job I just went through myself. Had some ripples and the same two puncture holes from the license plate from somebody not paying attention. Cost me just under $500 to have them fix it (patch/repaint, not replacement of bumper). Should cost you about the same.
Not stupid. Shizzle happens.
The first thing I found out about the Z upon driving it home was that the parking brake doesn't exactly work well. You have to pull it really hard to make sure it sets. I always leave mine in gear when I park it.
I'm not sure how much it will cost. It probably depends where you take it. Get some estimates.

Get the rear bumper replaced. Patching it will look like $hit in a year or two. Do it right. Good body shops will charge $400-$600 just for painting the bumper. Not counting repair/replacement. Tread carefully.

i have actually replaced the rear bumper on mine. i had some drunka$$ in a golfcourse parking lot back into me, i was on the other side. he drove off, so i never got anything. i can remember the truck that was opposite of me, no liscense number but i remember the trailer hitch that went through the bumper. not major damage, but it did puncture all the way through. my first reaction was like you, i will just patch it, and paint it. my cheapo father said to just throw a bumper sticker over it, on my past cars i would have. but then i remembered that this was a Z. i did not buy it to be economical. if thats what i wanted i would have gotten an escort or chevette. so i got it done right and replaced it to the tune of 586 bucks painted and everything. even went to the dealer to try and make sure everything was matching. looks great now. good luck.

I am going to have it done wendsday. Thought I was going to miss the Z while it was gone. But one of my friends is letting me use his F-360 while he is in Italy. I will get pics of it side by side with my Z, I love that car.
