Well, my dad and I set out for BSR Racing School in West Virginia on thursday and now we're back and I've gotta say that was the most fun I've had in a while.
The ride there was uneventful, with our new Passport 8500 cops didn't bother us and cruising 210 miles at 90mph wasn't so bad. The Z's floor sure gets hot after a long trip though, damn cats.
We spent friday in Harpers Ferry, a nice town in the Appalacians, was fun as hell. Beautiful place and the roads are nice and curvy and speed limits are nice and high.
Saturday I spent at the BSR "Accident Avoidance" course, but it was more of a extreme-driving thing than anything else. We got Chevy Caprices with tricked out tires and had to put them through everything from slaloms to quick stops. Also got to practice inducing and controlling over and understeer on their skidpad. That was a lot of fun.
The day ended with a little AutoX type timed event, which myself and the other guy in my car (3 students + 1 instructor per car for the whole day) lost to the girl. I would have won on my second run but instead I got to practice some offroad recovery after trying to induce some oversteer.
Anyway, I recommend BSR and the AA course to anyone who wants to learn how to drive their car in some pretty difficult conditions and has no prior experience with tracking cars. I think it'll really help out my AutoX skills.
So... go to BSR!
PS Oh yeah, saw a Lamborghini Gallardo on the Highway. Was gonna race it but too much traffic.

There's a link. I seriously recommend the school to anyone that wants to learn how to act in extreme situations, recover from skids, all that stuff.
