Is there any such thing as trouble free?? If you come to a forum where people talk about the ins and outs of any car, you're going to hear both the good and the bad. If you know anything about Nissan you know they are notorious for their excelent cars, sure some of them have problems, but when you have a top 10 engine for as many years as nissan has, thats a good sign its a great car. Just read some of the threads about how many miles people have on their cars. I have read several post where people have said "30,000 miles and still flawless" etc., so to answer your question i guess you can say there are trouble free Zs out there, but dont be suprised coming to a forum as extensive as this one, when you hear about problems. Bottom line its a great car. Hope that helps a little.

Well, it seems that everyone here with a few thousand miles on their zs is complaining about the tire feathering. And you see, I have been driving a 300GS Lexus for the past 6 years and I have put on it about 60000 miles and it runs like a clock....tried the z for a day...it is different, nice different, but i sure don't want to waste my time at the dealership.

All 350z's have the feathering issue, but imo, it's not that big of a deal. Sure the noise will get loud as hell after 6-10k miles on the same tires, but all you have to do is take it to a dealer and tell them. The feathering is a known issue and they'll give you a free set of front tires at no cost. Just go in, replace them, and head out.

I'm at 6k. Daily driver. Rock chips galore, unavoidable and expected. The only real problem I have is the gas tank is very picky about taking a full tank of gas. I haven't figured out whats up with it yet. I've heard tons of snake oil remedies and explanations, but there is simply something wrong with the design. Too many people have the same problem for it not to be an issue, but the problem is mostly ignored. I haven't noticed any tire problems yet.

I'm completely satisfied and would buy again. It's definately worth owning.

I have an early 04 model(built in Aug, 03), now has 15K km and the only problem I have is the rattling rear view mirror
I'd say the car's flawless~

um, how does that work when your alignment warranty expires? basically the only way you should buy a z is if the rumor about the feathering fix for 05s is true. so just wait a month. solid details should surface by then.

I've had a few small issues here but nothing major.
I even got hit with the Feathering,

All the issues were either fixed or are so minor they are not worth mentioning, I have no regrets buying my Z and would recommend one to anyone,

I would wait for the 05's cuz you'll have many of the issues reduced or solved,

Z is a great Sports Car for the money

Good Luck

I might not be a good subject since I only have 2000 miles on my 5 week old Roadster but I haven't had one complaint that required me to take the car back to the dealer.
