I have the Performance version with 18s. Since I drive real hard in the corners and accelerate through and out of the them, VDC has saved my bacon on more than one occassion - especially downshifting from 4th into 2nd for a tight left or right and then punching it. SLIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. With VDC off I would have easily have performed 360s.

If your not a hard driver then VDC is pointless. If you drive to the limits of the hardware it's a god-send.

VDC or not, I'm packing the car away in 2 weeks as it will be useless in the snow and ice here in the north east. Back to my Altima.

I ordered the Performance soley because of the VDC. I am going to replace the stock rims eventually and may loose the tire pressure sensors in the process(don't know how they mount yet). I figured the increase in price is a very small penny for something that may save my from serious injury or death. Plain and simple.

All I have to say is that since you track your s2k you're obviously a good driver. You will never miss VDC. Don't let that even be a factor in your choosing. The Enthusiast also comes with TCS which you will probably also turn off.

As noted by many, most recently TJZ, in track use you will be turning off the VDC (as I found out during my first ever autoX today). If you are used to an S2000, the Z should seem pretty tame. The Z does plow a bit if you go into a decreasing radius corner slightly offline and don't have room to get on the gas (as I also found out today), so it is pretty safe unless you start changing the tires or suspension setup, in which case all bets are off. I wouldn't let the VDC be a deciding factor.

Well i dont think the S2000 has any of those traction or VDC systems, so if you've lived with out it you could be ok i guess?

But, i have a base model Z, and in the rain i could deffinitly use some traction control, and the limmited slip of the enthusiast or any higher Z. VDC is also good sometimes (i have it in my G35) You can really feel it working when you work the car hard, also if its bothersome sometimes you can always shut it off. I think its a good thing to have. Im still happy with my base because i think i got the MOST bang for my buck, than added xenons, leather, pedals and tints, and the car looks great. But i would recomend an enthusiast atleast. But VDC will only help not hurt, since it can be turned off....
