actually, i think everyone raggin on me is right... although i did provide most of the $ for this car, i couldn't have done it without my parents who were covering my expenses at the time. i can't say that i've put in as many hours of work as everyone else did for their z either

bottom line is, even though it was a bad investment to make at this point in my life, i'm very happy i got it. it's an awsome car that came with an awsome community. kcobean, you're right, we're all just z owners in the end

and i'll take you up on that hot dog if my car's out of the shop by then! ...installer broke it....

Isn't that always the way? I've had my car broken by the dealer. Took me 6 trips to get it fixed right, and they ended up having to replace body parts in the end.

Cool....Hot-dog it is. Hope to see you there.

omg.... this thread sux. Why do people have to spend every ounce of energy they have to prove they work for their car or they REALLY bought their car? Who gives a f**k? It's just so ridiculous. Some of the stories are not even close to believeable....there are some small exceptions, but the vast majority is BS. If your parents paid for it, fine. ADMIT IT! If I was 17 I would WELCOME such a gift even if I had to pay for just insurance and gas. I just dont understand why ppl have to justify having bought a car at such a young age....

I bought my first hot car when I was 16, but I did have a mother who signed off on the paperwork, I would have been delighted if she had given it to me. I paid for everything asssociated with the car and and an inflated room and board charge. j/k

IMO because I have done it...I would say that I remembered a lot of pressure from people older than me to explain why/how did I get a car like that?

I can't speak for anyone here but for me if a kid can get the car of his/her dreams and they bought the car on their own, they have the right to say so.

You just get so tired of hearing how much was it, where did a kid like you get the money to buy it, dads car?, etc, etc

Yes, this thread sucks and I think I already said that some where. Why am I even here??

How the hell is your water, phone, cell, electric, and cable bill add up to only 75 dollars a month?

Please explain!

that's about $70

let me see though,

i got three other room mates so everything is split 3 ways. we live in harrisonburg where everything is cheap!

water comes to somewhere between $45-$65

electric between $50-$100

cable is $40 (includes free hbo! but no speedvision...)

house phone is $20

cell is all on me at $35

that's about it i think
