New car looks great Jeff. If you can't make Mid-Ohio do like I'll be doing follow the race via the live timing & scoring link. I am headed to VIR & Barber however. This is some of the best road racing there is folks. There will be 60 + cars with 5 of them being 350Z's!

Nice work, Jeff.... verrrry nice! I really like the color combo and wheels (like everyone else! )
Thinking the polished version of that wheel may be what I move to if I ever get tired of the iForgeds.
BTW, if you ever want to build a race car for east coast operation, I think I could volunteer some time to drive... as long as you don't put a pink stripe on it.

I saw them race in Pheonix last year (Grand Am). And not to bash the Z but that car was extremely slow. There was also another team with one and they were slow too. I don't think the Z is capable of racing against the Ferraris, Vettes, ect.

GS1: Vettes, GT3 Cup cars, etc.
GS2: 996s, Cobras, Firebirds, 350Zs, M3s, etc
ST1: IS300, 330s, etc
ST2: RSXs, etc.
The GS1 glass moved to compete in the Rolex series as it's own class, and the GS2 class remained in GAC and was reclassified as the Grand Sport class. The Sport Touring classes were consolidated into one class.
Do you realistically expect the 350Z to compete against Ferrari?

I doubt they will be in the ALMS nor any of the World Challenge series, but it's possible. I don't remember too much about GAC from early 2003, but in the link you provided, the #33 car didn't do too well, but the other 350Z finished 6th in class, which isn't too shabby considering it was brand new with very little development at that point.
While the Z has not had a win yet, it has had a few podium finishes, including a 2nd place at the last race at Watkins Glen. There will be a win in the Z's future soon.
I like the GAC over the WC series since it's more of an endurance race. But that's all personal opinion.

Great News! Congratulations on winning with a 350Z.
I have been suffering with the impression that my modded Z is just not as fast as a lot of the cars out there at HPDE events. My next mod is the 3.9 final drive ratio. If that doesn't do the trick, I guess I have to go F/I.
