If you're careful you can leave the emblem on, I was paranoid and took them off to be safe. Removing the emblems only added 10 minutes to the job and allowed me to use more liberal amounts of carb cleaner.
Just did it. Took like 5 mins. I left the emblems on the car and used a toothbrush. Sprayed the toothbrush with carb cleaner and slowly scrubbed and the paint came right off. Looks great and this way i didnt have to remove the badges and reapply.
Did mine today (Super Black). Used about 15 Q-tips, a soft cotton towel, Napa Throttle Body/Carb Cleaner and some car polish afterwards. Looks very good. Makes the care look unique.

Hows that toothbrush taste?
Any pics of Daytona Blue? Bet it would look great!
This was done sometime ago when vandals spray painted my car. The body shop removed the spray paint, but also the black on the emblem. Little did I know that I started a trend.
Silkk Does it exactly match the handles? Can you show a close-up pic with the badge and the handles? Thanks!
I can try to get a pic. I'm sure it's not EXACT because the handles are aluminum and this is a plastic piece, however it's close enough to me that I can't really visually see a difference. (Plus it's pretty difficult to eye both at the same time)
