Default Paint cost for front lip

Guys,

I am thinking of what it costs for prep and paint a fiberglass veilside1 lip? I will do the installation myself using 3m tape.

I live in L.A.. In fact, my uncle co-owns a a body shop. But its one of those thing that you don't want to use a relative's service.

Is fiberglass ok?

For anybody that owns the veilside1 lip, how low does it go down compares to stock? I sometimes rub my stock lip when I go down the drive curb if i am not careful.

Thanks,
Tony

And lastly, for clearance, a soda can barely fits under it. So its not so horrible as far as scraping goes. (Stock ride height)

Jetpilot718,

Is that a replica of the Nismo? I heard that it is slightly larger than the original.

How much did you paid for it? Link?

Did you install it yourself? Using 3m tape?

I am debating between the two . The V 1 lip is a little pricey. Waiting for a group buy if possible.

Tony, might want to check into the Nismo US kit just released this week. Has new front lip. I ordered mine for $301 shipped. Here's the link: http://www.leeauto.com/parts/350zp.html

Jetpilot718,

From the look of the soda can, it doesn't seem like it is much lower than stock (a good thing I guess), but just stick out horizontal more.

Can you confirm this?

Also did you install this yourself? Using the hardware provided and any 3M tape?

Thanks,
Tony

Side. A friend did the painting and we did the install. I used the tape that came with the lip. It was relatively easy. I don't know what color you have but, the paint for a DB quart is $135 because it has 3 different pearls in it. Keep in mind that does not include a flex, a adhesive, hardner, and a clear. Hope it helps
