I was driving home tonight and revd the Z to red line in first then second all the sudden eng just stops no power and all these warning lights come on, ck eng soon,trac control, and slip.
The Z would not go at all till I turned the thing off 3 times.
Finally the trac control and the slip light went out and the car started to run again but the ck eng soon light stayed on .
anybody have this happen to them yet

 

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean by "turn it off 3 times." I probably can't offer much, but I'll try.

The engine light means there's probably a diagnostic message you can read. Here's a message I found on Google Groups about it.

Usually an engine light is a sensor fluke, and you just have to reset it (by unplugging the battery for a few mins), but maybe it means something in this case.

If all the lights went on, it makes me think the car lost power and got it back, so the electronics were re-initializing.

 

This sounds very similar to what happened to InternetAbyss. He's still having his car checked out by factory techs I believe.

 

EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME......they told me it is caused by the pedal sensor.....your computer rebooted thats what it does when it thinks it goes out of synch with the trottle body.

Oh yeah I got that fixed just yesterday took them a couple weeks to figure it out....Nissan will want to keep your car at the dealership since it is a BIG liabilty issue....drive by wire issues suck...

I had that problem with my car and the clutch was not calibrated correctly...MY car just got fixed and everything is ok now.
