Default Problem with my rear windshield wiper?

You know how you can flip up your front windshield wipers when you are washing your car? Is the rear one supposed to do the same thing because it won't let me lift it up at all. At the most maybe half an inch. Thanks!

Mine doesn't flip up either. I don't think you can flip it all the way up.

I'm sure the reason it doesn't flip up is so the wind won't make it pop straight up in the air when driving at high speeds.

^ I'd like to do that to. Was it a difficult process?

Not at all, I used a battery post puller for the wiper arm, it fit just right and it came off fairly easy. You have to pop the cover for the rear hatch to get to the motor and the whole assembly comes right out but then you are left with a hole, where the motor shaft was.I was able to machine a piece of delrin (dull black plastic) to cover the hole. I believe someone did a thread on this a while back where you can go to Home depot and pick up all the items you need. you may want to do a search on that. Good Luck!!!

I also removed the rear wiper. Rain pretty much sheets off the car while driving anyway, not to mention that it doesn't rain much here. Car looks much better. I think the wiper assembly is closer to 5 lbs. though. While your back there, don't forget to remove the trunk weight.

Boo. I love my rear windshield wiper. I wish all coupes with a trunk had one.

Trunk Weight??
I'll remove that too.
Where is it and how much weight can I save by removing it?
No point in keeping unnecessary weight.

Under the Black plastic panel when you open the hatch. (its on the hatch).

You will then see the weight. Unscrew it, and you'll save about 3-4lbs.
