Default Road Rage for No Reason

This morning like every morning my wife and Idrive into to work together. So, we're sitting at the light on a three lane street, but I notice that in my lane on the other side of the light is some construction. The light change and I notice that the guy in the lane on my right in a Rodeo takes off like he think that I'm going to try to accelerate in front of him or something, but I didn't I just got behind him. So, I'm laughing and saying to my wife, look at this idiot. Now we're at the next light which all lanes turn right when the light change. In other words, you can't go straight, and the idiot is now on my left side. Here's were the RAGE begins. BAM!!! the light changes to green, I'm in my lane turning right, but I notice out of the corner of my left eye this ****ing idiot is coming over to my lane as though he's going to push my car out of the lane. So, I call his bluff and continue to drive in my lane. Then he gets as close as he can then on the left side, then slams his brakes, then drops on my bumper as though he's going to rear end me, then move to the passenger side in which he's coming over as though he's going to hit me from that side. I'm smiling saying go ahead and hit me, but expect an *** whippin once it happens. So, the idiot drives straight and I took a left turn. Is the whole thing over. Hell NO!!!, After I drove about five blocks, I notice that this idiot is at the next intersection waiting for me to come by. As I cross the intersection, he pulls forward like a charging bull, but I swirved to my left to avoid the impact, and continued to the next light where I stopped. The idiot pulls up on my wifes side and begin to yell **** YOU!!!! **** YOU!!!!! **** you!!!! GIVING ME THE FINGER AT THE SAME TIME. I'm as calm as I can be saying **** you get out of the car *******. He's now on the shoulder of the road. Again, when the light changes you can only go left. BAM!!! the light changes and the idiot tries to ram me on the passeger side, but I floor it and he ends up behind me. At this point I'm fed up with this *******, so I throw my arms up to say what the **** is your problem, let's solve this ****. So I'm hitting my brake, but now the idiot is dropping back and won't pull up next to me. So, now I'm pumping the brakes to wait for the idiot, but he's still staying back about 6 cars legnths. My wife is saying come on let's just go. She doesn't want to be involved with this situation. I agree and decided to just let it go , and went to work.

Now the question I have from my Z family is could I have handle this another way? After the first incident my wife picked up the cell phone to call the cops, but I told her "no" I handle this *******.

he would have gotten an *** kicking after the first time if he tried that **** with me, and being that your wife was with you, once again if that was me i would have thown him the beating of his life. i'm not trying to talk ****, but i really would, i have done it before and i will do it again, mainly if my wife was with me and he is trying to ram her side of the car. i also have a bit of an advantage, my father in law is FBI and i have a feeling that no one would know what the victim of the beating was talking about if he told the cops he was assaulted. glad you and your wife are ok though and he didn't hit your car.

It's a daily occurence in NJ/DE/Philly, you just deal, flip the finger and go to work.

that makes no sense at all. Maybe you "cut him off" 4 blocks earlier or something and didn't realize it. People trip about everything these days...funny how "powerful" people feel when they're in their car...as soon as they step out or get face to face with you, they're the biggest pussies in the world.

You should have got his license number and a good enough look at his face to identify him if you see him again. Then smile and wave good bye (no middle finger) as you drive to the closest police station or if you had a cell phone, park and call for an officer to come to your location.

When the officer arrives insist that you want to file a complaint charging Mr. Jerk with assault with a deadly weapon (his vehicle) if he deliberately tried to ram you as you stated. You must be willing to see this complaint all the way through. Cooperate with the investigator who will get the case and be willing to go into court and point the finger at the suspect should it come to that.

It's always best if you have independent witnesses who can back up your story. Wife will help but she is your wife and not really unbiased.

In incidents like this it is always best to keep cool and don't get sucked into the a..hole's rage. For some reason you set this maniac off. If it didn't take much, or really anything, for this guy to react like he did then you have to understand that you are dealing with someone who isn't quite right in the head. He may pull a weapon from under his seat and you or possibly you and your wife could wind up on the front pages of your local newspaper as victims of some "random" shooting. I have seen it in my 25 years of law enforcement.

That was you? If I ever see that white rice-bucket of yours again, you're a dead man, b!tch!

J/K. That sucks Sly. I don't think you could have handled it any other way. Some people just have issues, and you were a convenient target for his rage. The only thing I would have done, especially with my wife in the car is remove myself from the situation ASAP. While providing an @$$ whoopin' would surely have felt good, it would be very inconventient for your wife to come visit you on the weekends at whatever jail you ended up in.

Idiots like this guy are best just left alone for the next guy who wants to teach him a lesson (as if people like that will ever learn)

Glad it came to an uneventful end.

Wow... just reading that got my blood boiling. Geez some ppl these days. I've seen quite a bit road rage myself... it's most always uncalled for, but they wanna get mad about something anyways. In most cases, like your's as well... the guy's all tough and screamin an **** hoping to scare you, and as soon as they see you losing your temper and stepping up to them, they back off like a little *****...

I couldn't have because he was at the first light before I arrived. That's why we couldn't figure out what this ******** problem was

The only theory I have is that this guy was in an argument with his wife before he left his house. When the first light changed a nd he sped off and I just laugh and got behind him ( not close to his bumper at all) he must off took my laughing personal. When I pulled up next to him at the next light I didn't even look his way. I think that the guy is just an *******.

I'll tell you what, you have a lot more patience than me. In a situation like that, where some endangered the safety of my wife, I would have snapped & tore his heart out (I have an anger management problem). Kudos to you for keeping your cool.

I would have called 911 on my cell phone and followed the guy until the police caught up with me....

Another good reason for the 2nd amendment in this country....

Wait... you're in your 350z and he was in a Rodeo? The solution is an easy one, just mash the gas and leave him and his anger problem back at the light. Trust me, whippin' some dude's *** is not the answer only bad things can come of it. You were not mad to begin with so why should you let this moron affect you? I fully understand what you went through though, I've seen it/been in the middle of it many times. Glad nothing happened to the Z.

I got another solution! Here it is:

1) Rev to 9000 rpm
2) Dump the clutch
3) Keep the gas floored
4) Disappear like batman in the smoke bomb you just made..

That's if your Z can handle a 9000 rpm ahd it's engine doesn't blow up.

BAM! POST 700~
