Question Trying to buy a Z

Hey, I have been trying to buy a new 2004 Z from my local dealer. Just wondering what you guys thought of the deal they offered me - 28,800 for an enthusiest with aerodynamic package and all the carpet splash guards etc. sticker price was 29,900. Is 1,100 off sticker a good price for a 2004, considering the 2005's will be out shortly? I may go back and get it, but I feel that they should probably be cheaper around now. Just looking for opinions.... thanks.

1100 bucks below MSRP is a better than average deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the leather only in the touring package?

Alot of dealers will have the leather installed by a local shop before delivery. That is what I did with my previous car and it costs me alot less, looked awesome too.

As for the price, that's a pretty good deal. I paid 33,118 for my 04 Track, which is about 1500 under MSRP. I went to Edmunds.com and printed the report of what I wanted and showed it to the dealer and they not only matched it but went below it with no haggling. Surprisingly.

Sound like a standard deal. I was looking for an Enthusiast and that's exactly to the penny the price my dealer quoted me.

I was just concerned about depreciation once the 2005's roll in... I thought that another couple of thousand off the price would be in order to offset the depreciation that I will have in like a month.??

Assuming there will be no substantive changes in 05, which I believe is a very good bet, I don't think you will take any hit over & above what you normally take when you drive a new car off the lot.
