I talked to NNA this morning concerning my order. He told me that "we just had a meeting and that as long as the car the customer orders falls within the dealers pre-order alotment, then the cars WILL be delivered in AUGUST!" I asked if this was true in all cases and he said "yes with the obvious exception of any delays caused by extreme rural area delivery." I dont know if this is true or not, but it sure gets me excited.

Not true....it has been said over and over that very few will arrive in August. Most will have to wait until Sept/Oct. Plus, all of this depends on how well the production ramp up happens. If they have problems, all of this could be delayed.

If all is true with the Aug/Sept issue, why then would Nissan put on their production build report that my car would be built in June and delivered in Aug??

 

Maybe you'll be one of the lucky few who get it in Aug....

 

I hope so, I just dont see the hold up. If production is underway this month, which I hope it is, then it should be August. I frequently deal with importing/exporting from Thailand and various Asian countries including Japan so I understand all the problems with shipping overseas, but I think it all boils down to Nissan getting the cars here when they feel like it.

ugh.....my head is going around in circles!

I hear august....then september...then late july....I think i'm going to have a mental disorder by the time i get it.

But, that is good news. Let's hope chicago isn't a "rural area".
